Essay in an artist monograph

"Ecoterminal Aesthetics: 7 Premises" in Landscape Sublime by Anastasia Samoylova

Landscape Sublime is the first monograph by internationally exhibited artist, Anastasia Samoylova. The works in this series are photographs of table-top collages of "picturesque" landscape photographs sourced and printed from the web. The essay engages the generative wastefulness of Samoylova's work. From the essay, "Her demonstrative violation consistently leaves behind formally persuasive new images about their waste, about the tacky beauty of a trashed planet."
